Warracknabeal Neighbourhood House & Learning Centre Inc. is a positive community focal point where everyone can access a diverse range of quality adult learning and other activities.

Our Mission

To be responsive to learners in a climate of social change by providing training and general learning opportunities, fostering co-operative community partnerships and addressing community health and wellbeing.

Fees & Charges

The full fee must be paid before commencement of any course.  As per ‘Ministerial Directions of Fees and Charges’ ACFE course fees of a minimum of $60.00 for those who have not reached year 12 or tertiary educated applies.  Some courses incur an amenities and/or materials fee.

Experiencing financial difficulties?  Speak to the Centre Manager to consider your circumstances.  We assure you of our confidentiality.

Refund Policy

If a course is cancelled by Warracknabeal Neighbourhood House & Learning Centre, a full cheque refund will be given.  Courses with low enrolments will be cancelled.

Enrolments

Enrol early as all courses require a minimum number of students to proceed.  Low enrolments may result in the course being cancelled.

Centre Services

Board Room An ideal space for conducting meetings or training.  Features a more formal furniture style and arrangement, training and presentation equipment, split system heating and cooling, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Seating 12
Computer Training  Room Wifi ready for online and printing options.  Wireless laptop computers available for centre use.  Alternatively the space can be used for meetings or other training forms. Seating 18-20
Library
A cosy, intimate meeting space with comfortable seating, large table and split system heating and cooling. Ideally suited for interviews or small group break-out space. Books may be borrowed by arrangement. Seating 6-10
Kitchen/Café Fully equipped available for functions and catering. The Cafe area is a generous, flexible space allowing for a variety of muti-purpose table and seating arrangements.  Seating with tables 30, Theatre style 50
Individual Offices all serviced daily

FREE computer and internet during opening hours.  Fees apply for printing, faxing, photocopying, binding and laminating.

Centre Manager

Karen Fuller is available to discuss your needs and what you may be able to offer the Centre at 2 Cox Street.  We are seeking new tutors and skills which will enhance the local community and keep jobs in the region.  Please call during office hours to make an appointment to discuss your ideas.

Volunteering

A big thank you to all the volunteers that have been helping us.  Your help is really appreciated.

We are always looking for help from volunteers for many things, such as assisting older people with recreational activities, pamphlet and flyer distribution, tutoring, sewing, handyman and repairs.  If you are interested please call (03) 5396 1360.
